Among the approximately 500 refugees from Yemen who have reached the coastal town of Obock in Djibouti are women and children, “rescued at sea from boats that had run out of fuel”, wrote Djibouti’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Ilyas Dawaleh, on X. Djiboutian authorities are carrying out rescue operations and providing emergency assistance, he added.
